This is my online presence for the time being, and I have chosen to use tumblr as the platform. I think tumblr is a really effective way of sharing work and getting yourself out there. I am also really familiar with using tumblr and feel that this will help as I continue to update it. I really battled with html and coding to get it to look the way i wanted, and it still needs tweaking. However I think my layout is clean and effective for displaying my images, and that the minimalistic layout compliments the use of texture and colour in my work.
I have also been using Instagram throughout the course, where it seems a bit more personal. I have not been updating it as much as I'd like to however, and feel that for it to really be effective for my practice, I need to gain more followers. On my account I follow a range of illustrators and practitioners, in the hope they will see my work and engage with it. I think it's also a good place to receive feedback, reflected in the amount of likes I get on each post? this might seem a bit hobbyist but ultimately, if people like it, they like it.
